My son loves his Transformers (the original) that he plays on my old PS2 and now wants a different one he can play on his Wii. I’ve seen some mixed reviews on these games and want a recommendation on a good one he would enjoy. He loves the ability to transform whenever he likes as well as free roam and being able to switch characters. Anyone have any suggestions?

I am a fan of the transformers series and playing the games ( I have played all of the games, own 2 of them) was kind of disappointed on the ability to transform whenever i want. The 1st game was awesome except for the camera sometimes. ROTF (Revenge of the Fallen) does not give u that kind of freedom it gave u on the 1st game. U can replay levels, have 2 co-op, and transform ONLY for special moves but that last for 10 seconds. You can't free roam. CA (Cybertron Adventures) was little of an improvement with a better story but still the same features as the ROTF. DOTM (Dark of the Moon) was different. U only play as a car driving or shooting your way through. The only game fit for your son is the 1st one. Otherwise buy a X-Box 360 or PS3 or stick with the PSP because those games are the ones that u can transform and free roam
P.S. Wii Transformers games are SO DIFFERENT from the other consoles
